Shameless Puckboy (Puckboys, #3) by Eden Finley & Saxon James

Pages: 340
Published: 2023
Genre: Sports Romance, LGBTQ+ Romance, Contemporary

Spoiler-Free Synopsis:
Ollie Strömberg has never been one to hold back on or off the ice. Known for his bold personality and zero-filter attitude, he thrives on chaos, attention, and doing exactly what he wants. But when his reputation starts to catch up with him, he finds himself in close quarters with someone who refuses to play into his games.

Lennox may be quieter and more reserved, but he’s not easily shaken and definitely not impressed by Ollie’s shameless antics. What starts as tension and pushback quickly turns into something more complicated as the two are forced to confront their assumptions, boundaries, and the unexpected pull between them.

My Thoughts / Review:
Shameless Puckboy is exactly what the title promises: bold, chaotic, and completely unapologetic. Oskar brings a larger-than-life energy to the story, and while he can be a bit much at times, that’s also what makes his character arc so satisfying. Beneath all the confidence and humor is someone who’s used to deflecting with personality instead of vulnerability.

Lane is the perfect grounding force. He doesn’t get swept up in Oskar chaos, and that steady presence creates a really compelling dynamic between them. Their relationship builds through tension, boundaries, and mutual understanding rather than instant chemistry, which makes the payoff feel earned.

What I really appreciated in this book is how it explores emotional growth in a quieter, more intentional way. Oskar’s journey, in particular, stands out learning when to push, when to listen, and when to be real instead of performative. The humor is still very much there (and honestly, some of the funniest moments in the series), but there’s a maturity to this installment that adds depth.

Each book in the Puckboys series brings something a little different, and this one leans into character development and emotional balance. It may not have the same immediate spark as Ezra and Anton (still top-tier 👀), but Oskar and Lane bring a dynamic that grows on you the more you sit with it.

Would I Recommend It?
Yes! Especially if you enjoy character-driven romance with strong personality contrasts and meaningful growth. It’s a great continuation of the series and adds another layer to the Puckboys world.

Favorite Moment Highlight:
A scene where Oskar drops the bravado and shows who he really is: unexpected, vulnerable, and incredibly impactful.
