Spoiler-Free Synopsis:
Easton has always followed the rules, on the ice and in life. Knox, on the other hand, lives in the gray areas, pushing boundaries and is not afraid to take risks, well kind of. When circumstances bring them together, what starts as tension and undeniable attraction quickly becomes something far more complicated.
With lines they shouldn’t cross and expectations weighing on them, Easton and Knox are forced to navigate what it means to want something they’re not supposed to have. As their connection deepens, they must decide if the risk is worth everything they could lose.
My Thoughts / Review:
This book??? Yeah… this is the one 👀
Listening to Forbidden Puckboy on audiobook made the tension hit even harder. The narrators really brought Easton and Knox’s dynamic to life—the restraint, the pull, the moments where everything feels like it’s about to snap. You could feel the stakes in a way that made it impossible to pause.
What really stood out to me is how strong the emotional tension is from the start. This isn’t just chemistry, it’s that slow, building pressure of knowing something shouldn’t happen but wanting it anyway. Easton’s rule-following nature paired with Knox’s willingness to challenge everything creates such a compelling push-and-pull.
I also really appreciated the added layer with Connor. His protectiveness over Easton as his middle brother makes total sense, and you can feel how much he cares about him. But at the same time, Knox isn’t just anyone, he’s Connor’s best friend, which adds a whole different level of complexity. That dynamic really elevates the story because it’s not just about a forbidden relationship. It’s about loyalty, trust, and navigating relationships that were already deeply important before romance ever entered the picture.
And the emotional payoff? So worth it. Watching Easton wrestle with expectations while Knox refuses to let him hide from what he feels adds so much depth to their relationship. It’s intense, but also grounded in real emotional stakes—fear, vulnerability, and the risk of losing everything for something that finally feels right.
Out of all the couples in the series, Easton and Knox are now my favorite. They completely took the top spot for me. The tension, the growth, the emotional payoff…it all just hits.
Would I Recommend It?
Yes—1000%. If you love forbidden romance, high emotional tension, and relationships that feel both risky and deeply meaningful, this is a must-read (or listen). It’s easily one of the strongest books in the series.
Favorite Moment Highlight:
A moment where the tension finally breaks and neither of them can pretend anymore, intense, emotional, and completely unforgettable.
