One thing I’ve been thinking about lately isn’t just what we’re reading but when we actually enjoy reading the most.
Because let’s be honest… the vibe matters.
For me, my reading habits have definitely shifted over time. I used to be a “sit down and read for hours” kind of person (hello, undergrad and grad school days 👀), but now? Life looks a little different.
However, a chilly day, overcast, with some rain? Let me brew some tea and catch me with a blanket, my boox palma, and my cats, reading for hours!
Lately, I’ve found myself enjoying stories in small, intentional pockets of time:
- 🎧 Listening to audiobooks while cleaning (even if the same spot gets cleaned multiple times…)
- 🚗 Driving or running errands with a story playing in the background
- 🌙 Occasionally winding down at night when I can convince myself not to scroll instead
There’s something about pairing reading with everyday life that makes it feel more accessible and honestly, a little more sustainable.
But I know everyone’s rhythm is different, so now I’m curious…
✨ When do you enjoy reading the most?
- Early mornings with coffee?
- Late at night when everything is quiet?
- During your commute or daily routines?
- Fully unplugged on a weekend binge-reading session?
Or are you like me and living in your “reading whenever I can fit it in” era?
Drop your favorite reading time below, I love seeing how different everyone’s routines are (and I might need to steal a few ideas 👀📚).
Because sometimes it’s not just about finding the right book… it’s about finding the right moment to enjoy it.
