Well, well, well… look who finally decided to come back! 😉
If you’ve been wondering where I’ve been, first of all, thank you for sticking around! Second, life has been a little chaotic lately, but in the best possible way. Between a career pivot, packing up my life, and moving halfway across the country, I’ve had quite a bit going on. And somewhere along the way, my little corner of the internet took a bit of a backseat.
But I’m back, and I have A LOT to catch you up on!
From Colorado to Big Sky Country
Let’s start with the biggest change: I moved to Montana!
If you had asked me a few years ago to name the states where I could see myself living, I can confidently say Montana would not have made the list. Not even close. And yet, here I am!
Life has a funny way of taking you places you never expected, and sometimes those unexpected turns lead you exactly where you’re supposed to be. What started as a career opportunity quickly turned into a whole new chapter, complete with a new state, a new community, new connections, and plenty of opportunities to grow both personally and professionally.
Moving is always an adventure, but moving somewhere you never pictured yourself calling home? That’s a whole different experience.
I’m still finding my footing, exploring my surroundings, and figuring out what life looks like in this new chapter. But one thing I can already say is that I’m incredibly thankful for the opportunities that brought me here and the people I’ve had the chance to meet along the way. The connections I’ve already made have reminded me just how much the people around us can shape our experiences and make an unfamiliar place start to feel like home.
And who knows? Maybe Montana is where I’ll put down some roots. I certainly didn’t see that coming!
So… What Does This Mean for Tales & Tomes?
Now, I know what you’re really here for. The books. The movies. The reviews. The opinions that nobody asked for but that I’m absolutely going to share anyway. 😂
Don’t worry. I haven’t forgotten about you!
Between the career change and the move, keeping up with reviews and blog posts became a lot harder than I anticipated. Reading for fun, watching movies, and writing about them all started competing with the many other things happening in my life. And, unfortunately, the blog lost that battle for a little while.
But I’m ready to change that!
I plan to get back to reviewing books and movies much more frequently, sharing my latest reads, talking about the stories that have captured my attention, and, of course, giving you my completely honest thoughts along the way.
Will I still occasionally disappear into a book and forget what day it is? Absolutely.
Will I probably watch a movie and immediately want to write an entire post about it? Without a doubt.
Will there be more reviews, more recommendations, and more Tales & Tomes content coming your way? YOU BETTER BELIEVE IT!
No More Hiatus… Hopefully! 😉
All jokes aside, thank you for being here. Whether you’ve been following along since the beginning or you’re just finding your way to Tales & Tomes, I appreciate every single person who takes the time to read, share, or engage with what I create.
Life doesn’t always go according to plan. Sometimes, you change careers, move to a state you never imagined living in, and find yourself building a life you hadn’t even considered before. Sometimes, you need to step away from the things you love for a little while to make room for something new.
And sometimes, you realize it’s time to find your way back.
For me, that means embracing this new chapter in Montana while making more time for the things that have always brought me joy, including reading, watching movies, and sharing those experiences with all of you.
So, consider this my official return announcement!
The books aren’t going to review themselves, the movies aren’t going to critique themselves, and I have far too many thoughts to keep them all to myself.
Here’s to new beginnings, unexpected adventures, good books, great movies, and getting back into the swing of things.
Now, if you’ll excuse me, I have some reading to do.
Until next time, happy reading (and watching)! ❤️
